Cuyabeno - Amazon Rainforest

Four days we spent at Tucan lodge in Cuyabeno Nationalpark which is part of the Amazon rain forest. The lodge was in the middle of nowhere. We had to take a bus from Quito for 10 hours and then an additional 2 hours boat ride. Being in the middle of this incredible ecosystem was just amazing. We saw the famous Amazon river dolphins, two anacondas, sloughs, 5 species of monkeys, tree boas, caimans, tarantulas and a lot more. With the canoe we went through the system of rivers and lagoons to see all kind of wildlife. One day we spent at a village of indigenous people.
A absolutely perfect end of our 10 weeks stay in this beautiful country. Now we’re moving to our next country: Peru! 🇵🇪Leer más
