Malapascua Island

Malapascua is a tiny island north of Cebu, but maybe the most famous place to spot thresher sharks in the deep blue. This rare species is sensitive in terms of light and noise and a diving trip starts at 5 am.
After a nice first dive with two of those magic creatures and a white tipped reef shark, the second dive this day was blowing us away. More than 15 thresher sharks and 3 mobula rays were around and very close at some point.
Besides the diving, Malapascua has beautiful beaches but we’re a bit unlucky with the weather. But it was definitely worth the visit!Read more
