Madrid

Spent a day in Madrid. My main memory is spending my only day to buy new shoes, as my ankle was hurting from walking only in sandals for two weeks. I went to the Solomon store in the mall and asked about hiking shoes. The worker suggested trail running shoes, as they offered more ankle support and traction than running shoes but offered more breathability than waterproof hiking shoes (being that I was traveling in the summer they would get sweaty and stinky).
