    This town is really cute and the mountains are amazing! Our AirBnb is also very cozy and in a good spot.

    Alpspitze (almost)

    Today we headed to the Alps! First we took a gondola to near Alpspitze and then walked to Hochalm from there. Now we keep a lunch break (our self made pesto pasta) and then head to Kreuzeck and back down.

    After coming back from the mountains and resting a bit, we went to walk around Partenkirche (the older part of the city). We walked through a well known street, Ludwigstraße, and then along just some smaller, cute streets.Read more

    Eibsee

    July 22 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

    Today we took a bus to Eibsee lake! We wanted to go by train but the tickets were sold out sadly.

    We decided to row around the lake and eat our sandwitches there. There was an amazing view to Germany's highest point, Zugspitze.

    Now we are heading to Austria by foot and spending the rest of the day in Ehrwald. 11km hike there... but hopefully worth it.    Read more

    You can see how high up we were. The lake down there is Eibsee.This was the moment we were lost lol. Should've known this wasn't an offical route.There was a cabinspot close to the border on Austria's side. There were bunnies and goats!

    The only thing my dad said to me before leaving on this trip was "don't get lost in the Alps like I did.". And what did we do? Get lost in the Alps. Not badly tho lol, just for a while. Then Google Maps guided us back on track.

    Anyway, we visited Austria! By foot! The start of the walk was HELL (I thought I will die). Straight up like 200-300m a mountain. But after that it was fine. Still rough tho.

    The view was amazing and the hike was overall worth it. Though we should've eaten better before climbing up.

    We didn't get to see much of Ehrwald because we had to catch our train, but the town seemed really cute and cosy.    Read more

    Today after checking out of our AirBnb we took a bus to a Basilica in Ettal! It was a short stay, because we have limited time today and we want to do some shopping in the city.

    The rest of our stay here we just walked and shopped around the newer part of the city, Garmisch. We also visited one church.

    Now we are at the station waiting our Flixbus back to Munich airport!

    We have arrived at the Munich airport again, went through security and are now waiting for our flight was supposed to leave at 22.05 but is delayed to 22.40. We were supposed to be in Finland about 01.35 but now it's propably closer to 02.00...

    Update: Apparently the plane is all ready but the crew is not here??? Like what?    Read more

    Home safely

    July 24 in Finland ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

    We are now back in Finland!

    We had seats 14 E and 14 F, meaning we are right on the wing, MEANING we are next to the emergency door and were relied on to open the door (our window) in case of an emergency lol. We were even given special instructions.

    Anyway, the time is now 02:50 as of writing this (we just landed) and the weather is foggy as hell. It looked so weird but cool when we were still in the air.    Read more
