    First time trying skin based skis. These are more or less Finnish innovation and hard to come up with a proper English name, because even the Finnish name is strange, liukulumikenkä.

    These are basically shorter skis designed to be used outside of premade ski tracks. Similar types are used in mountains and found with alpine ski name.

    It was crazy weather trying these. The snow was hard as rock and these have no grip for sideway movement which makes downhills dangerous.

    I will probably get the longest ones for next winter which are closer to skis and have better skiing abilities.
