  • Duckstein Festival

    July 17, 2022 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

How lucky, just happened to walk past and therefore go into one of the biggest yearly events in Hamburg. This was the 24th Duckstein Festival.
So we had a drink and a dance on our way home from the opera house.Read more

  • Denmark

    July 18, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

After dinner, we went for a little walk, we thought (given we were parked in some woods as far as the eye could see) we would be walking through some woods, but very quickly we came out into the open and we were walking on a trail between various fields. We saw 3 deer running across the fields like puppies, so bouncy, running for ages. The hill we ended up at was an old defence from ww2, part of one of the best lines of defence in the world apparently.Read more

    July 19, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Today we hid from the sun. We managed to do a supermarket shop, we were surprised by how cheap everything was... Mostly a little cheaper than the UK, and petrol here is a fair bit cheaper too 🤔 confusing as its known to be so expensive, and even up to date rankings put it very high for petrol... But it's the cheapest we've seen in any country since the prices went up.
Too hot, and much hotter tomorrow (thankfully not 'UK hot' 🤣)
Will try harder to take photos tomorrow. Its very nice here 😃
First picture is last night... Second is a picture they taped into their 'poo tin' here haha

  • The hottest day

    July 20, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ☀️ 35 °C

We booked onto a campsite to ride out the heatwave as living in a metal box with no shade, cold water, or garden just wasn't going to work 😅
The campsite was beautiful, but absolutely millions of bugs, bitey ones. Also, approximately 1 small black frog per square foot. You couldn't walk without them jumping away from your feet.
Despite it being the hottest day we managed to stay cooler than the previous day and Lennon loved being able to roam free on good grass again.

  • The room of death

    July 21, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

Lennon spent most the day with his tongue hanging out.

The owner of the site must be a hunter as when you go into the room marked WC you find this collection of dead animals, plus a nice happy before picture of some deer, along with a creepy child picture...

Brace finally had enough of Lennon pulling his chest hair.

Ringo has been promoted, and Lennon demoted.

  • Romo Island

Forgot to take any nice pictures so this is it 😄 weird place, you can drive to it and at high tide the road has sea both sides of it

    July 22, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

We camped near a huge park, amongst tonnes of free activities such as go karts and boats and a go ape, it had a farm, and half way round we realised you were just allowed to go into the animal enclosures and pet them.

Denmark is so lovely and trusting, everything seems free and available to the public with no staff to help or enforce health and safety 😊

    July 23, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Another Saturday another day working hard in the play gym while Daddy messed about making money in the van.

Today Lennon progressed from pulling up on furniture, to now actually walking around it. He was a bit stressed about it to begin with (as you see in the video 😂) but by the end of the 4 hours (🥴) we spent in there he was happily pottering around like he'd been doing it for weeks 😊Read more

  • Danish Danish Pastries

    July 24, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

After a week in Denmark we finally had Danish Pastries

    Lennon's cute feet 😍🤣

Brace had a lovely zen yoga session in his tranquil surroundings

    And the return of Lenina

  • Aarhus

    July 25, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ 🌧 18 °C

    1. In the middle of the street
(sorry this pun is absolute madness)
    2. Lennon of course finding the only non Lennoned part of the van 🙄
    3. Walking to the beach
    4. Brace telling me off for being a perve taking photos (I didn't realise there were naked people in the background 🤣)
    5. Aarhus beach
    6. Camping spot
    7. Lennon is getting slimmer now 😭
    8. Village we drove through
    9. Lennon crawled over, laid next to me, pulled a pillow over him like a cover and just grinned up at me and laid there 🥰😭😍 he's never done anything like this, so cute
    10. Next he tried to get drunk

I'm realising the behaviours I'm modeling are lying down in bed... And drinking gin from a wine glass 😂

  • Chilling 😎

    July 26, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ 🌬 16 °C

Lennon has become my dream baby. His new favourite game? Lying down next to me, using whatever he can find as a cover (mainly my clothes or pillows) and just chilling, giggling quietly. 😂 Miracles do happen!
Evil Lennon has gone and lovely Lennon is back 🥰😍🥳
I managed to get him to get up for a little beach trip though 😂

  • Skagen

    July 27, 2022 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Sadly, what is famous for being a very beautiful traditional town of Denmark has become too famous and is now just a tourist trap with nice yellow buildings hidden behind souvenirs.
However, still a lovely afternoon out, and to get into the spirit of it we went for a nice traditional Danish, all you can eat Asian Buffet 🤣Read more

  • Goodbye Denmark 🇩🇰 and Tak!

    July 29, 2022, Skagerrak ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Denmark was lovely, friendly, respectful, beautiful, calm, trusting and farmy.
The people really were almost all very tall and blonde.
Some highlights were definitely their famous pate, all the animals we saw and the dunes.
We stayed a week longer than planned but was a little flat for Brace, who is now craving some more mountain biking friendly spots and some views from high up.

So we got the ferry to Norway and saw rolling hills as soon as we drove off the ship 😊

I'll definitely miss the pate though 🤣

  • Norway 🇳🇴

    July 29, 2022 in Norway ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Arrived in Norway and this is the first spot we are camping at 😍
Even from just 14 minutes drive and one camping spot, Norway has already demonstrated how beautiful it is. It felt funny driving on hills again, you don't notice hills so much until you have been on absolutely flat land for a while.
The people here seem friendly, there's a diving board and safe swim area and a good clean toilet so everything we need 👍🏼

  • Paddling

    July 30, 2022 in Norway ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Lennon's first ever paddle in the sea.
Brace's first outdoor swim during the van trip.
    They both loved it 🥳

  • Hovet Dam

    July 30, 2022 in Norway ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

Camping spot 2. We are essentially just in a lay-by, of an A road on our right. On our left is a Waterfall and a dam which creates a pool, a popular swimming spot for locals. We are at the bottom of a Mountain, so there is forest going up for 7km. Where there are forests there are Blueberries. Also lots and LOTS of Ants (the ant hill in the photo was way over a metre diameter at the base)
    So yes a lay-by, but 😍

  • River Lagen Campsite

    July 31, 2022 in Norway ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

We stayed at a campsite situated right by the river Lagen. Absolutely brilliant location, we found a secluded spot down a hill by the water, so we felt like we were in nature but with the added luxuries of showers and a washing machine.

The river was popular with fishermen, and apparently full of salmon. We were able to have a fire and went up for a beer at the main building.

  • Another lay-by

    August 1, 2022 in Norway ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

We spent another night just at the side of an a road 😂 unbelievable. The lay-bys here are nicer than the majority of scenic spots in most countries.

  • Climbing Pulpit Rock

    August 3, 2022 in Norway ⋅ 🌧 17 °C

Pulpit Rock is one of the most stunning and famous views in Norway. A moderate hike up a rock.
But it is rainy and foggy all week here, so with no waterproofs, a baby, a dog who hates rain and no view to look forward to after climbing up a rock for hours, we took Lennon to a play gym instead 😊
Or should I say, me and Lennon took Brace to a play gym 🤔😆
