Ullapool to Lochinver

Yet another gorgeous day - first photo is view from our B&B at about 7.30am. After breakfast, we got to meet two highland coos, Beatrice and Daisy who live at the farm next door.
We then drove to Corrieshalloch Gorge and did the 2km loop track. I (Sue) was very brave and walked across a suspension bridge more than 60 m over the gorge. Then onto a little wire lookout (looks like a basket) that juts out from the side of the cliff. After lunch another gorgeous drive past a mountain called Stac Pollaigh (Stack Polly). More bendy single track roads past lochs, mountains and lots of yellow broom which is growing wild everywhere. On to an unpronounceable white sand beach (Achnahaird) in the middle of nowhere where one brave soul was swimming. Finished up at our lovely B& B. Saw otters on our walk home from dinner.Leggi altro
