07 | Coromandel | Thames

🇬🇧 This morning we left our hostel all packed up for a big hike up to the Pinnacles where we were planning to stay overnight. Unfortunately, a big rainstorm coming through means we may be stuck on the mountain, so we decided to return to a town called Thames and instead look for another place to stay the night. We walked into Thames town centre where we looked at lots of quirky thrift stores and other independent shops. Fortunately, the B&B where we were planning to stay after our hike had a room for us. Now we'll wait out the rain and hopefully do the hike on Wednesday instead.

🇩🇪 Heute Morgen verließen wir unser Hostel mit allem Drum und Dran für eine große Wanderung zu den Pinnacles, wo wir übernachten wollten. Leider droht uns ein heftiger Regensturm, sodass wir auf dem Berg festsitzen könnten. Deshalb beschlossen wir, in eine Stadt namens Thames zurückzukehren und uns stattdessen nach einem anderen Ort zum Übernachten umzusehen. Wir gingen ins Stadtzentrum von Thames, wo wir uns viele skurrile Secondhand-Läden und andere unabhängige Geschäfte ansahen. Glücklicherweise hatte das B&B, in dem wir nach unserer Wanderung übernachten wollten, ein Zimmer für uns. Wir werden erst einmal den Regen abwarten und die Wanderung hoffentlich stattdessen am Mittwoch machen.Read more
