69 | Wanaka to Aoraki / Mt Cook

🇬🇧 Today started off innocently enough but got swiftly derailed. Before travelling to Mount Cook, we wanted to visit Puzzling World in Wanaka which has a cool outdoor maze and some optical illusions. Unfortunately, as we started the maze I felt very nauseous and unwell so we had to stop and Rob had to drive to a pharmacy to get anti-nausea medication. The medication didn't really work, but we made it through the maze at least.

Unfortunately from there things did not improve. It seems I caught a stomach bug from somewhere and I felt sick for most of the day. We still drove to Aoraki / Mount Cook because it didn't really make any difference where we were so we might as well travel to our next destination. In Mount Cook we had planned to go camping for two nights but had to get a hotel room instead. Hopefully things will improve tomorrow.

🇩🇪 Der heutige Tag begann ganz harmlos, geriet aber schnell aus dem Ruder. Bevor wir zum Mount Cook aufbrachen, wollten wir Puzzling World in Wanaka besuchen. Dort gibt es ein cooles Outdoor-Labyrinth und ein paar optische Täuschungen. Leider wurde mir gleich zu Beginn des Labyrinths sehr übel und ich fühlte mich unwohl, sodass wir rausgehen mussten. Rob musste zur Apotheke fahren, um Medikamente gegen Übelkeit zu holen. Die Medikamente halfen zwar nicht wirklich, aber wir haben es zumindest durch das Labyrinth geschafft.

Leider wurde es danach nicht besser. Anscheinend hatte ich mir irgendwo einen Magen-Darm-Virus eingefangen, und mir war fast den ganzen Tag übel. Wir fuhren trotzdem nach Aoraki/Mount Cook, weil es eigentlich egal war, wo wir waren. Wir konnten also genauso gut zu unserem nächsten Ziel weiterreisen. In Mount Cook wollten wir eigentlich zwei Nächte zelten, mussten uns aber stattdessen ein Hotelzimmer nehmen. Hoffentlich bessert sich morgen alles.Leer más
