Belchensteig hike: part 1

Belchensteig premier hike in Weidener Eck was voted the most beautiful hike in Germany a few years ago. At first we could somewhat see why but was mostly through farmlands and ski resorts. Then we summited Belchen mountain and we immediately realized why it had been voted such. 9.5 miles with over 2400 ft of elevation gain made it the longest hike we’d done in quite some time.
