Klong tour in Bangkok

We took a small wooden boat through the klongs which are the small canals through Bangkok. We were surprised at the varied wealth of the homes along the river: from beautiful mansions with immaculate landscaping to shacks that were literally degrading and falling into the water. Also saw a massive monitor lizard jump into the water and swim: they can grow up to 6.5 ft long and weigh 110 lbs!! We also saw people feeding fish from the shore, most of them were catfish and huge!
