Mauna Kea sunset

Amazing sunset at Mauna Kea where you go from sea level to 13,803 ft in a short drive. We stopped at the visitors center at 9,000 ft up to acclimate a bit and see the Mauna Kea silversword plant which is quite rare but easy to find with a guide. It literally looks like someone spray painted the plant silver and only flowers once in its life which makes it easy to kill.Read more
