Hanakapi’ai falls

We hiked the *very* slick and muddy trail to Hanalapi’ai falls in Haena state park. It’s a permit only trail which keeps overcrowding to a minimum. Even with good gear we had lots of slips and near falls. The water crossings were interesting. Dave was a billy goat and able to cross without getting wet by jumping nimbly rock to rock.
