Poipu beach with monk seals and turtles!

We were finally able to see monk seals at Poipu Beach, a species that has fewer than 1400 total animals and around the main Hawaiian islands around 150. So we are lucky to see them, one lounged on the beach and one swim in the water before joining his friend. There was also a green sea turtle on the beach. The lifeguards and preservation volunteers rope off appropriately sized areas around the animals to keep people from harassing them.Læs mere
