Hiking Grandfather Mountain

What a day! We started out hiking at Grandfather Mountain State Park. This is our 3rd time hiking this trail from the mile high bridge and it’s always one of our favorites. This is the first time we’ve had the bridge to ourselves which was actually a little eery since it’s usually packed with people. The hike to Macrae peak includes boulder scrambling, ladders, and cables. But the effort is greatly rewarded with 360 degree views of the gorgeous blue ridge mountains.Leer más
