Dinner with great friends, and goats!

After Oakmont bakery we had a great dinner with Dave’s friends. Then we walked along the river and saw working goats (clearing river brush). Beautiful evening with wonderful people.

Started at station square and took the subway into the city. Then walked to the strip district which has amazing food in historic buildings.

Incline up to Mt Washington

We took an incline car up the steep hillside to Mt Washington which overlooks the city. It’s a beautiful area that is extremely well preserved.

We enjoyed watching the storm roll in from Mt Washington but decided it was a good idea to ride the incline back down to get the truck.
Dessert at Monteray bay

Dave took us to an amazing restaurant with a great view over the city for dessert before heading home. The storm put on a lightning show and luckily we were able to time it so we could get to theBaca lagi
Covered bridge and small towns

Stopped at a covered bridge on the way to the Flight 93 memorial and took the backroads through beautiful small towns with tons of character.

Dave had a work meeting so Erica drove to the Flight 93 memorial where the passengers overtook the hijackers on the 4th flight on 9/11. It’s located at the crash site and does a great job at payingBaca lagi
PengembaraOh I was definitely sobbing walking through the part that played the last messages. They had video of the towers getting hit and falling as well which took me back to that day like it was just yesterday. Such bravery and really well represented at the site.

We both loved visiting Dave’s childhood theme park and had fun on our first rollercoaster together. Short and sweet trip as a lot of the rides were closed but still a beautiful day.

Pulled into the Delaware water gap/poconos campground. It’s beautiful and peaceful here, plus the campground has Guineas!
Mt Tammany hike after driving 6 hours

After a decent day of driving we set up camp and then immediately set out for a 3.5 mile hike with 1200 ft of elevation gain. Was pretty buggy with lots of rocks, but saw turkey and deer, and almostBaca lagi

Buttermilk falls

Drove an hour to hike at Buttermilk falls in Delaware water gap. Almost 6 miles round trip with some crazy inclines. Beautiful area with 2 lakes in addition to the waterfall, and had a scare at theBaca lagi
