Hoang Long Riverside Homestay. Really nice spot right on the river amongst the karst mountains. Playing billiards.
Day 2:
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, by bicycle. Paddleboarding through the river near our hotel.
Day 3:
Trang An 3 hour boat ride along river, through caves, and to temples and pagodas
Day 4:
Hiked up to top of Hang Mua, busy with lots of tourists but nice view. Had a coffee in the cafe at the bottom and met a nice American couple on their honeymoon. Walked through old town. Went back to old town for dinner.
Day 5:
Cuc Phuong National Park, jungle & park tour.
Tour van milk run picking up tourists on super narrow roads. Endangered monkey rescue centre, gibbons doing really loud escalating screams! Hike through jungle, lunch with other tourists, prehistoric man cave.Read more
