• Jewish Ghetto and Synagogue

    Today was a somber day, as we went to the Jewish Ghetto and Holocaust museum. We saw an original small house from the ghetto where 30 people lived. Perhaps, the house in a ghetto near Odessa where my father was born, looked like that. There was also an original train car in which the Jews were transported into concentration camps. We then went for something more uplifting - visiting the only surviving synagogue in Riga. A manifestation of our survival. In the evening, I was treated to a wonderful surprise - an unexpected tango quarter concert in the Riga St Peter’s church near our Airbnb.
