• Trier - Roman gate

    We left Berlin and took a long train ride to Saarbruken where our next tango event would be happening. But on the way, we stopped by and spent the night at Trier - a small town with ancient Roman gate, that was later rebuilt into a church. There are also two beautiful medieval cathedrals in Trier, and curiously, it is also a birthplace of Karl Marx. There was some open air band concert that was happening right in front of the gate, with the stage, sadly, obscuring the Roman gate!Read more
