• Vienna Day 4 - Albertina museum, Opera

    We started the day with the Albertina museum, which houses an incredible collection of Impressionists and later styles. The permanent collection is arranged from Monet to Picasso. We loved the audioguide (pretty much at all Viennese museums they have been amazing) and the curation - it makes such a huge difference! I loved a few pieces of Chagall the most. We then went to the guided tour of the Opera building, which was a bit underwhelming. It’s built by the same architect who built Odessa Opera House, but in Vienna, large part of the building has been destroyed in WWII and later rebuilt, and the interior is a bit lackluster as well. We then went back to Belvedere, to see a temporary exhibit called “Colossals” focused on extra large paintings, which was quite interesting.Read more
