PS.: Today, I learned that Finland got put into Category 3 by the Taiwanese authorities. This means anyone coming who was in Finland in the 14 days before their trip to Taiwan has to quarantine for 2 weeks. I'm supposed to be there for only a weekend. Japan is category 2, which means that quarantine is not compulsory, they just ask you to be more careful - mask, keeping distance, keeping healthy and using the disinfectant - which I have been doing so far anyways. The fun part? The day I'm supposed to fly over to Taiwan is my 15th day in Japan. If we manage this, I'll be laughing about this for years. Okay, if I'm honest, either way it's hilarious.

PS.: Ma megtudtam, hogy Finnország 3as kategóriába került a Taiwan-i hatóságok által. Ez azt jelenti, hogy aki a taiwani utazás elötti 14 napban ott volt, kötelezö 2 hét karanténban lennie. Én csak egy hétvégere mennék. Japán 2es kategória, ez azt jelenti hogy nem kötelezö a karantén, csak megkérnek hogz legyél óvatos – maszk, távolság tartás, egészség megörzése és a fertötlenítö használata – amit eddig is tettem. Oh, look at that. More stairs. After a 3.5km hike through Kurama mountain (which I did in leather jacket, cause I'm cool like that), seeing the final steps to the train station taking me back to more central Kyoto, I was tempted to shed a few tears in happiness. I'm going back home about 3cm shorter.

Rengeoin Sanjusangendo

Okay, this was really cool. I had to Google possible pictures, as they were very serious about NO PICTURES when I visited. Plus it was raining outside, so I couldn't take a good picture of the building.
Rengeoin Sanjusangendo is a Buddhist temple, founded in 1164. It's official name is Rengeō-in (蓮華王院) which means 'Hall of the Lotus King'. It's most famous part is its main hall (hondō) where there are 1001 (really, not a typo) standing statues (called Thousand-armed Kannon) as well as statues of Fūjin and Raijin amongst others.

Ok, ez nagyon menő. Google-ön kellett keresnem képeket, mert nagyon komoly vették a SEMMI FOTÒt mikor ott voltam. Plusz kint esett, úgyhogy nem tudtam jó képet csinálni az épületről.
Rengeoin Sanjusangendo egy buddhista templom, amit 1164ben alapítottak. A hivatalos neve Rengeō-in (蓮華王院) aminek a jelentése "A lótusz király terme". A leghíresebb része a negy terem (hondō) ahol 1001 (tényleg, nem félreírtam) álló szobor (amit Ezer-karú Kannon-nak hívnak található, meg Fūjin és Raijin szobra többek között.Read more
