Seeing the sights

We picked up Pete & Maria from the airport and saw the sights of Brisbane. Our favourite was the lookout at Mt Cootha.

Up to the rainforest

We drove up into the mountains for the day and spent time at O'Reillys with Pete & Maria. We walked through the rainforest and saw heaps of parrots and bush turkeys. We did the tree-top walk which was a bit freaky, but lots of fun. Maria loved the parrots and managed to get one to land on her!

Day on Tambourine Mountain

We spent the day at Tambourine today. We went to glowworms caves. It was pitch black and we had to wear glowstick necklaces so we knew where each other was. We visited a a dairy and tasted lots of cheese. Then we did a walk and visited Curtis Falls.

Dads Birthday at SeaWorld

Today we spent the day at Sea World with Pete, Maria, Gran (she was down from Rockhampton), Grandma & Grandad. It was so much fun!

We had a garden party for Chelsea's 5th birthday. It was great to have it in Brisbane with friends and family.

Off to Fiji!

Today the kids had their first international flight! We flew to Nadi and a driver picked us up and drove us to our resort at the Shangi-La on the Coral Coast of Fiji. The resort is on its own tiny island which is accessible by a bridge. The resort is lovely. Our room is upstairs and has a little balcony overlooking the ocean. We have 2 double beds in our room. Our accommodation package includes breakfast and dinner each day - which makes it very easy.
