Santa Barbara

The plan was to leave Santa Barbara early to spend a couple of hours at the beach and then head to L.A. But again, the sun did not really wanted to work its way through the mist or whatever it was so we drove till Malibu, had a second blueberry pancake breakfast there at the beach and drove to L.A. Ir was said to be the worst traffic from the West Coast, they are probably right. It was very busy being a Saturday starting the long weekend since July 4th is soon coming. Sophie, who drove all the way down, did a wonderful job so we dropped our luggage in Alhambra, where we stay and gave back the rental car. Before entering the renting car area were a bump with some spikes. We were afraid to pass and destroying our wheels so we waited for another car to come. We let him pass and of course nothing happened. The driver stared at us a bit confused. But at least we knew nothing would happen, right?
