Day 1 - Erfurt - Innsbruck

Left Erfurt at 8:30, took train to Munich and changed at 11:30, after fully booked train faff standing between carriages met up with the rest of our group who had set off on Saturday at 5am from London.

Arrived in Innsbruck at 13:30, straight to the accommodation for an outfit change (it was 28 degrees), then out into town for some sightseeing. First stop: goldenes Dachl.

Later went up the funicular to the Hungerburg where we were caught in a storm, but quickly found shelter in a church.

Afterwards, dad headed to the climbing wall and we went to get provisions for the 5 days of walking ahead of us!

Dinner at the Stiftskeller, traditional Austrian food, wine and beer outside and then back home to pack.
