Quick layover in Johannesburg!

After an 11-hour flight, a quick layover in Johannesburg. We were able to see the sun rising during our approach and it was an unbelievable sight. Can't wait to see it on the ground! The airport was huge - luckily we landed early in the morning. Walking through, we found a cute candy shop with some unique candy. I found this bag of jalapeno M&Ms, but I wasn't brave enough to try it. Maybe I will on the trip home!Les mer

Frankfurt on 2 Hours of Sleep

What an amazing start to our trip! In less than 8 hours, we did so much in Frankfurt. We had apple strudel and apfelwein (both amazing & highly recommended), climbed 66 meters (216 feet for my American friends) up to the top of Dom Cathedral, and walked through Römberg Square (so many cute, colorful buildings). Taking off soon, but in a short while, we'll finally be in South Africa!!!Les mer

One Night in Durban

After nearly 24 hours of flying, we finally had the chance to relax and sleep in a bed! The hotel in Umhlanga that was stayed in was amazing. We even had the chance to take a swim in the pool, but South African winters are suprisingly chilly (we didn't stay very long). The hotel was right along the water and we had a wonderful, and well-deserved, dinner. Topped off the night with a quick run to the market, where I found tons of fun South African treats. Needless to say, I will be bringing a lot more back home in 5 weeks!Les mer
