CP Day 6 to Modelo 16km day

Despite a very rainy night and horses pulling figs off trees half the night we woke well rested to clearing skies. We had a bit of an uphill walk through forests and villages so we stopped early for a cafe con leche and pastry break to fortify ourselves. It was our first pastel de nata of the trip and it was delicious! We spent some time chatting with a woman from Australia and a family from Slovenia. After our uphill walk, we descended back down towards the coast.
Since we had a shorter walk today, we decided to enjoy some time on the beach in Praia do Ancora. It was so relaxing enjoying our wine and leftover pizza and watching the surfers.
Tonight we are staying in a little beach town called Moledo. Our casa is literally beside the train station so instead of horses, we have trains tonight, which we just love. We are only a couple of blocks from the ocean so we enjoyed a beautiful seaside sunset dinner tonight. We topped it off with a chocolate crepe with whipped cream and ice cream. So yummy. Tonight is our last night in Portugal. Spain, here we come.Leia mais
