CP Day 17 SPIRITUAL to STOP 🛑🫸

    9月10日, スペイン ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

Everything was going smoothly. The night before we had the Pilgrims Blessing from the nuns in Armenteira. Nothing can stop us now. We have God on our side. The walk to Terrón was long but we were in good spirits. We were scheduled to take a wonderful 1.5 hour (35km) water taxi ride Wednesday morning to another monastery only 26kms to Santiago!😊
Our plan was to be at the Cathedral on Friday. And then………BOOM 🤯!!!!
Woke up and Ann was sick! Sicker than I had ever seen her be. Headache, sore throat, cough and NO energy!! There was no way we could leave.
Priority was to care for Ann in anyway I could. Most of the day Ann slept. I had never seen her so tired. Thankfully we were well stocked in pain medications. Even still Ann’s headaches were still causing her discomfort.
I spoke to Diana at the Front Desk to extend our stay by 1 day and luckily they could. Ann could rest up. A young Spanish couple we had met Tuesday night at the hotel turned out to both be nurses and on Wednesday they volunteered their help by getting us medicine and a thermometer. They also offered to drive us to a medical clinic or to Santiago to complete our Camino but Ann was in no shape to travel.
Ann needed her rest and maybe in a day or 2 she would be well enough to continue.
    Or so we thought….
