    Malta Day 2

    Today we slept until 10:40 a.m. after a wild night with a friend of Julian's, who is also visiting Malta for vacation.
    After breakfast, we checked out the rooftop pool at the Hyatt Regency and stayed there for a while.
    In the afternoon, we ordered an Uber from San Ġiljan to Malta's capital, Valletta.
    To be honest, we never really left the city—it's more like one big city here: San Ġiljan, Sliema, Valletta, Mdina.
    The architecture is stunning!
    We grabbed a drink together and hit the Dragonara Casino, a few hundred meters from our hotel. What can I say? I lost $200. Went bad. So yeah, whatever.

    Għadira Bay & Popeye Village

    Today we spent the day at Għadira Bay in the northeast of the island.
    Funny how small this country is—a 30-minute Uber drive takes you to the other side of the country.
    Maybe it was also because our Uber driver was driving too fast.
    In any case, it's not really a place you'd go for a beach holiday.
    We rented an umbrella with a sunlounger, and there were some scheiss dütschi Fuessballspieler, which going us unto our cookie. In the Meanwhile, Julian went to a beach bar and brought me some Pringles.

    Oh, and I almost forgot... we went to Popeye Village, but it was closed at 5:00 p.m.
    Well, that was fucked up.. but it didn’t look too interesting from above. Just worth it for a picture and a cool sunset.    Read more

    Today we took an Uber to the east coast of Malta.
    There's a famous place called St. Peter's Pool, where you can jump into the water from the cliffs.
    Not too far away, there was another place that looked very similar to where we were first. It was called Kalanka Bay.
    Our Uber driver told us about Kalanka Bay, and I think most tourists don't know about this place, which is only a ten-minute walk from the pools.    Read more

    Comino Island

    Our last day on Malta took us to Comino Island, the smallest of the three islands: Malta, Gozo, and Comino.
    Comino is known for its beautiful clear water and the Blue Lagoon.
    What no one tells you is that the Blue Lagoon is in the middle of the port of Comino.
    It's a crowded place, and there is literally no beach - just blue water.
    Anyone who has been to Sardinia knows what blue water really means and how beaches should look.
    However, I wouldn't stay there for a minute, which is why we decided to leave the Blue Lagoon and walk somewhere else. Honestly, I had no clue where I was going, but I was sure it would be better than the Blue Lagoon.
    On the way to the unknown we found a beach called "Santamaria bay", a small beach with clear blue water, a small food truck in the middle of nowhere.    Read more
