• Rabat Ville

    8. Oktober 2023 in Marokko ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

When I get into Rabat rather than get off at Rabat Agdal I get off at Rabat Ville, which is walking distance to all the interesting sights. As I had a big rucksack and smaller bag I didn't want to carry them around in the heat for a couple of hours. There was no left luggage service in the station, so my options were to get on the next train or look for other options outside the station. Rabat Ville is also a slightly older station than others I've seen in Morocco. The escalators didn't work and there were not seats, so a lot of people sat on the stairs which made it a challenge getting by with bags.
I saw a small hotel across the street so I went in asking to pay to store the bags or if cheap enough pay for a room for a few hours. The receptionist was watching Brighton playing Liverpool so we discuss them for a few minutes. He then say's I can store my bags in a spare room for free 🤣. I did give him a tip later.
I then go for a walk towards the local Medina going down a big boulevard and through a park. Some lovely old European buildings.
