Olive Oil Manufacturer

We go a very short distance from Zahara de la Sierra to visit a little old olive oil manufacturers, Molino El Vínculo. They still bottle the oil there, but only small amounts and mainly for tourists.
We tour the production process starting with the initial hoppers and conveyors, the blowers for getting rid of debris and leaves, initial cold washing, then the pressing. For this they put a layer of olives topped with a filter mat, and continue this until they have a stack. Then they press the stack to extract the oil. There is further filtration depending on the quality of oil required. We also get to see a lady individually filling bottles.
