• Day 57, kukelekuuuu! 🐓

    February 28 in Peru ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

We had not so much sleep because of the roosters on the roof of the neighbors. It is a 'tasty grill and snacks' restaurant that is never open and there must be at least 10 roosters on the roof. They started at 04:00, and one crowed after another since.
So we had a relaxing rest day in tacna. But first we went to look for bustickets at the busterminal. It was a bit hard to find the place that sold tickets to Nasca, but we did. We are going directly to Nazca, since Arequipa is quite heavily flooded, with some deaths because of it, so we sadly have to skip this place.
Tacna is not very big or interesting, but we walked around a lot and tried to get used to the heat. We drank a frappè and a milkshake.
Then we found a mall while looking for the metal shop, but the metal shop was closed. On the second floor we found an arcade and played some games. Later we went to look for gifts at a traditional market, and found some! It didn't look like the market got a lot of customers and so it was very cheap and they were happy to sell us some things.
We had bapao and eike some fried empanadas, his new favorite food aka snack, and went to hotel, but left a bit later for dinner. We went to some jungle food restaurant which was nice (but eike did not like it so much). We got place mat coloring paper and pencils for the wait. Yay! Finally us adults we also allowed to color! Amazing! They should do that everywhere! ❤️ we had some pasta with coconut sauce and some vegetables with meat. Somehow the lady didn't want to sell us only the pasta 🤷‍♂️
