Gandia old Town and Fallas Museum

We walk into the main centre and Old Town and back ( over 18 000 steps and 12 Km).

There's a festival in this part of the world celebrating the Fallas. It happened here a few weeks ago. Street parades, overlifesize models representing some satirical theme, beautifully dressed women and girls vying for the best one, finished off with a massive fireworks and fire.

The History of Las Fallas
Las Fallas is a Spanish festival that dates back to the Middle Ages. The festival celebrates the arrival of spring, and traditionally, giant effigies of paper mache were burned in the streets. 

Today, Las Fallas is still celebrated with bonfires, but the effigies have been replaced by smaller statues called ninots. Las Fallas is held every year in the city of Valencia, and it attracts visitors from all over the world.
