Trip to Silkeborg

This morning Jim and I get picked up by Thor, Sophie and Dirch to go to Silkeborg for the day, west of Aarhus.
It's a lovely day so Thor, Jim and I canoe up the river while Sophie takes Dirch in the stroller for a walk/sleep. It's a lovely paddle. We meet back up and have a packed lunch. We all take boat ride up the river, past where we paddled to sky mountain, 4th highest mountain in Denmark at 174 m high.
We walk up the hill and watch tower. Then find a big icecream.

We miss the correct boat back so get another one that takes us close to our destination but we need a bus to finish the journey back to the car.
There's a Regatta here this weekend as it's now Friday afternoon, it's just getting started.
On the way back to town we swim in a popular lake.

Back at Karen and Ib's it's pizzas for tea. Man pizzas are made of course.
Nick from Young, NSW, is working here and living in their flat . He has as " friend" Isabella from Portugal here. Nick enjoyed a bit of Aussie company for a change :)Read more
