    Porto

    October 5, 2018 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

We stayed at a site 8k from the city for three nights. Plenty of space for us to pitch up.
On arrival we had a walk down to the beach in the evening to walk along the coast path - many more pilgrims on their way to Santiago. We made it to a bar and each had a vey full glass of local wine which was very pleasant. We were taken aback at the cost when we left - 2 euro total - our faces must have been a picture to the bar man.
Took the bus into Porto - again well priced at 1.60 euro each for a 1 hour journey - along the coast and into the city. It is a city which is a world heritage site and we can see why, we very much enjoyed walking around up the many hills, over the historic bridges and mooching in the old city. We took a Port cellar tour (Calem)and sampled some of Porto's finest on the other side of the river
