    Mazagon

    November 8, 2018, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ 🌧 15 °C

We found this spot right next to a Parador in a quiet area next to the national park and within a nature reserve.
On the way we had a look at Huelva which is a coastal town with large docks. We were not enchanted enough to want to stay for lunch - a very commercial centre. The old dock and gantry has been retained as a feature on the promenade. We found the fish and fruit market which was excellent.
The first night we shared the spot with a Spanish motor home and the second we were alone.
The site is looking straight onto the beach where fisherman come to spend the day hoping for the big catch. We didn't see much evidence of them getting one. It appears more a hope than an expectation.
We treated ourselves to lunch in the Parador restaurant - quite pleasant but nothing to rave about. Afterwards we walked along the beach and read our books in the sunshine.
