  • Day 804

    Sidmouth

    August 5, 2020 in England ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

We left Lychett Minster quite promptly and drove along the south coast to Salcombe Regis-where we had booked a campsite for three nights. After setting up we walked down the hill to Sidmouth to see Meg, our first reunion since New Year. Alan's brother Stewart was over from Italy - it was good to catch up with all the goings on. The discussion of conspiracy theories (covid related) with big bruvver was quickly taken off the agenda for reasons of family harmony.
A most enjoyable stay- some fizzy wine was consumed both at Powys House and in Brownlands where we enjoyed an evening bbq with Alison and Russ. Their garden was looking very colourful, well worth all the lockdown effort.
Big Stew cooked a delicious seafood pasta which went down very well too
Oscar and Toby were enjoying Sidmouth with their grandparents and we enjoyed watching Alison and Russ in the sea watching over the boys on their body boards.
The walk back up the hill each evening was quite strenuous but physically rewarding.
