Warsash

We had already completed the Warsash to Stubbington sections of the walk in our first week here so we drove to Meon Shore where we parked up. A very cloudy and misty day - The Isle of Wight could not be seen on the other side of The Solent.
The walk hugged the shoreline all the way to Gosport except where the high tide forced us inland for a short section. We passed through Lee on Solent into Browndown military training area ending up at The Diving Museum at the periphery of Stokes Bay. There were some very early examples of deep diving gear on show outside - must have been some very brave men and women who climbed into them. The walk along the shingle through the military area was hard work so we returned via the road to miss that section out on the return journey. The mist barely cleared all day.Meer informatie
