North Baddesley

We have pottered about here for a few days seeing a few friends and walking nearby while Alan counts down the treatment days at the radiography department. Today marked session 11 out of 20. We spent the morning cooking in readiness for our day out in Bournemouth tomorrow. Karen made some hummus and I baked some bread, prepared a sweetcorn chat and Jaipur salad following recipes in our favourite Indian cookery books.
We spent Saturday off site as we were to attend our second covid vaccination appointment in Bournemouth in the evening.
After breakfast we travelled to Lymington and spent some time looking around the Saurday market, which was thriving, on the high street, and then drove on to Bournemouth where we parked up on East Cliff. There then followed the classic English picnic, having settle down on a bench overlooking the sea and dishing out our food onto plates, the sky darkened, the rain started and we were very soon running back to the car where we completed our lunch throughout the downpour.
After lunch we wandered into Bournemouth were we visited a couple of shops prior to joining the queue for our vaccination at the BIC.
The queue was extensive, we were hoping to get our shot early but in the end after a two hour wait we left the BIC all jabbed up with 3 minutes remaining on the parking meter. There then followed a brisk walk back to the east Cliff where we were pleased to see no ticket on the windscreen.
On Sunday we enjoyed a lazy day with the Saturday papers.
Monday was a radiotherapy free day and Alan had arranged to go out for a ride with Mike, and Karen had arranged to have a chat with Lizz.
It was great to be back on the road bike once again, we cycled through the lanes around Rromsey, up to Kings Somborne returning to Chandlers Ford via Farley Mount, avoiding the worst of the rain showers that were breezing through. Karen nd Lizz were not so lucky having been caught exposed under a heavy shower. We all enjoyed a bottle of fizz and cake in C Ford prior to returning to site in the early evening.Leia mais
