North Baddesley

In the morning we drove over to The Testwood Lakes nature reserve where we hoped the bird hides overlooking the northern lakes may have been open. We packed up a picnic and followed the path through the nature reserve but found that the hides were still shut for covid which was a little disappointing. The nature reserve was, nevertheless, a joy to walk through and we managed to spot an Egyptian Goose at quite close quarters. We found a bench where we had our lunch before exploring a little more of the area prior to leaving. There was a replica bronze age house in the reserve in an area where ancient artefacts had been recovered from that period.Читать далее
