    Amity Point

    December 10, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

All loaded up in two cars and with our camper trailer in tow we took the 12:30 ferry crossing from Cleveland near Brisbane over to Dunwich on Stradbroke Island.

After a short drive from the ferry we arrived at the Amity Point camp site, and by 4 pm we were ready to explore our immediate surrounds. The site had a shark safe swimming area adjacent to a public access jetty. We watched the sun go down and a little later a dolphin swam around the end of the jetty for a short while. The jetty was used extensively by anglers after squid and fish for eating, and also provided a great platform for jumping into the sea.
