Walked slowly with Yoko, grandmother from Japan, for the last few miles. Said goodbye to her in town. Hopefully she finds a spot in the Albergue gate. She is not reserved anywhere. Tougher walk than expected today. 35,000 steps. 26km. My spreadsheet said 20 km, I did do the longer variant in order to see Eunate church, but I didn’t think it was supposed to add 6 km. Way more uphill than I was hoping for as well. I use the “WisePilgrim” app and it shows profile of the trail but I didn’t soak it in apparently.
This place “Casa Nahia” is awesome. Stocked with food beer and wine and I am going to sleep good tonight. More uphill tomorrow.Read more
