📌 A short one night stay to break up our transport to Belize ended up being a a nice surprise. The town was small, it felt quite local to Mexicans and domestic tourists (when not around the lagoon). The food and views were beautiful, with one of the highlights upon arrival being an incredible breakfast in a relaxing courtyard serving beutiful cafe/brunch dishes and Mexican breakfasts. Chloe's refried beans, pork and tortilla dish was delish.

📌 We had some patchy weather, despite this the lagoon was gorgeous with it's blue shades and abundant lilies. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon drink lagoon side, a couple of cocktails including a fairly spicy margarita. Afterwards we headed to a quieter area to hunt out some authentic regional Mexican which as per the trip so far, was perfect. As we wandered back to the hotel, we popped into the local Christmas market and got amongst some of the street food for dessert! It was lovely to see everyone out and about in the beautiful tropical weather.Leggi altro
