    To the cold Blue Mountains

    2 luglio 2024, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 9 °C

The sun was shining when we left Kiama and headed northwest to the Blue Mountains. Our first stop was just 10 min north to see the coastal views, the Boneyard beach and the Cathedral Rock. We watched surfers in the ocean, and the ocean water hitting against the shoreline.

We then got on our way, 2 1/2 hours, and headed up the mountains. It was just starting to lightly rain and the clouds were coming in. We only have this afternoon and tomorrow morning here at the Blue mountains so we took the chance to get some views in. We went to Wentworth falls, and even with the rain and the low clouds, we saw some beautiful views. The favourite was the under cliff walk with the greenery growing from the cliffs. We probably walked another 5km and the kids were amazing.

We made it to our hotel, which is the Gardeners Inn Hotel, a room above the pub. I got a mulled wine and sat by the fire.
