Devils staircase freedom

Hoping to stop for a night around Kingston. We checked out the Freedom Spot, but found it was more suitable for smaller vehicles. Us being 8 metres, far too big. So we headed off thinking we will find somewhere along the side of the road, as it was a permitted area for camping. We came across this beautiful spot, small pile of gravel, parked up under the beautiful autumn trees. We were right next to the Devil's Staircase Creek. Beautiful spot. Had a little walk down the ramp to the side of the creek to the Lake Wakatipu. Later on small vans turned up and parked up next to the lake. Peaseful sleep.Read more
