    3 cenotes in homun !!

    Woke up early
    Drove with the local bus to homun #glad to speak Spanish

    My first Cenotes and it was tucking amazing. Fishes 30cm, birds, bats, super clear water! Loved it

    Pool

    Sunset with yoga and mediation. Especially after a few „not that good days“ that feels so good (already 3x in a row:))

    Maya museum, coffee&book+stadium

    Went with Anna and Martha to a nice Maya museum

    Coffee in a lovely book store

    Went with the hostel to a football match (second division, 2 red cards)😂

    Love the Mexican mentality

    Met also eduardo and drunk with hin

    (Tv has changed many forms of entertainment - no tv in flat?)

    Palenque, calakmul, Tikal most important Maya city’s

    Slept out
    Breakfast at the beach (Blätterteig, Dulce, jamon y cheso)

    Met Maria from progreso, nice talk in Spanish & bought her tortas.

    Went to get to Reserva ecológica "El corchito", only by boat accessible

    „Cenotes/swimming pools in mangroves“, chilled there

    Insane how different the Cenotes are (Cenote azul bacalar, cenoten at Merida and here), there should be over 1000 in Yucatán (ceiba: holy Maya tree)

    West side beach chilling&reading

    New glasses (I think already the 5-6 time😂)

    So less people on the left side of the beach

    Enjoyed reading there. Nap in the hostel and chilled again during sunset outside

    Hostel was very unsocial, and „no one“ was there

    Tomorrow for 5-6 days to Valladolid, be more active again

    For me progreso is a hidden backpacker place: here are more local tourists, it is a beautiful place with the Malecón and the silent beach.

    Ek Balam y cenote

    After I met David from bielefeld in the hostel we decided to rent a scooter and drive to ek Balam and one Cenote

    First time I rented a scooter on this South and Central America trip! Loved to drive scooter

    Ek Balam was very impressive & you were able to walk up in everything and go inside buildings.
    Then we decided to drive to a cenote closby, which was very nice and chill again!

    Chilling

    Met Alice (england) and Lisa (Italien) and Thomas (England) and Carolin (Argentina) y Lisa (Italy)

    One beach in the north, then evening tour to watch on the other side of the island the sunset. It was so beautiful!

    Next day: dog walking, volleyball (#teamphil) in the playa and party at bikini bottom. What a nice night (lukasch)    Baca lagi

    Adios hollbox and goodbye mexiko!

    After an organising day and playing volleyball during the sunset and going for a swim, we drunk some beer at the being.
    Music, volleyball, good company with Eva, Noe & Lukas. What an amazing ending.

    Eva repaired my souvenir-bag😍 Today I am leaving hollbox at 2:30 to get a bus to Cancún airpot. I will sleep there and tomorrow I will fly over Miami to London.

    6h layover to check in my luggage again, hopefully everything, also with the Esta, will work out 😬

    My journey will be extended with an 4-day London trip with my family! I will surprise my parents, because they should not know, that I will join this trip!

    How should I say it? I had the best ending in hollbox.
    I went with lui there and I found a nice group and I loved to stay here also with the volunteers.

    Also my complete journey is over after ~10,5 months of travelling. Wow, what a time… I met amazing people and had incredible experiences. I would love to keep on backpacking and to have
    a journey like this maybe in 3 years again🤷🏽‍♂️

    Also it was Long, but doable. With a friend it would be not that exhausting to travel. Because I would not need to speak so much to other people. On the other hand I loved to met that many people!!

    Today, after 10,5 months on the road, my backpacking trip is coming to an end 🥲. I am so grateful to myself for taking this decision💪🏽 I never traveled solo and I had respect for this length, but I would definitely do it again!!
    I am grateful for all the incredible souls I met along the way; all of you made my journey unforgettable🥺 I am grateful that i have a home and a community of people to return to. I really missed u🥺.
    My heart is full of ❤️ and I am so looking forward to grab other chances like this in my life!

    Flying to Florida

    I arrived at 18:00 at the airpot and I had nice chats with one guy, who also recommended me a good food place (not the expensive airpot food)

    I was not able to sleep till 1:00, but then I had an ok sleep till 7:00.

    In the morning I met another nice Mexican guy (want to go over north mexiko to US) and we had a nice chat in English/Spanish. I am at the end proud of my self, how my Spanish from zero improved, but with more volunteering/homestays/classes it would be much more. I did not wanted to take the time for this tbh.

    Waiting for my flight to Florida, 6h overlay and then off to London!!!

    I am returning with 11 kg. If I would not have that many long cloths and souvenirs, maybe it would be less than 10😂 I arrived with 13.    Baca lagi

    London is such a beautiful city, with a lot of beautiful and amazing buildings.

    It was so cool so surprise my parents and too see my family already again. Best coming back!

    I am also a Little bith/very sad. That my backpacking trip is already over. I had maybe the best time of my life with independence, freedom and such a nice lifestyle. I am so sad to go back to the real life and I would love to keep on continuing, BUT work belongs to life Also.    Baca lagi
