Godiva's Coventry

Hopped over to Coventry on the train and wandered around the cathedrals— including a tour (which I was the only one, so private tour!) of the Priory and former cathedral built by Godiva that now lay in ruins beneath the surface. Also visited the Holy Trinity Church and saw the Doomsday painting, as well as a gorgeous turquoise ceiling I couldn't stop staring at. Onwards to the third cathedral (these are all bundled together) now in pieces after it was fire-bombed in 1918. Also saw part of the cheylesmore manor house (what remains) of 14th century. Made my way back to Birmingham for a sleep. Back to London tomorrow.もっと詳しく
