Day 1 cottonwood pass. 15 miles

Good day but grinder for sure. About 2000 feet in elevation and big flat section. Crossed from Inyo forest to sequoia national park. Fantastic views! One of the things we learned is both Stu and I can text and receive via satellite. So cool. Never really alone and game changer for backcountry. Campsite is next to a river and wonderful too.
