    Spot the crustation 👀2After bringing the wrong tent we had to improvise - this was the result!!! 😄

    Day 1 of The Rivers Way - Wetton >Flagg

    August 15 in England ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

    Great start to the day as got free parking in exchange for feeding the resident dog my excess chicken.
    Started the day tired, lots of sunshine & farmland walking.
    Many wrong turns & Vizslas 🧡
    Ended the day with a sneaky camp spot at a disused campsite only to discover I had brought the wrong tent 😳 gets worse as my tent needed two hiking poles & you guessed it I hadn’t brought any…

    Day 2 The Rivers Way - Flagg > Haversage

    Wild swims - Zero
    Bunch of wild flowers - 1

    Lucky enough to pass through the village of Flagg which was having their annual yard sale. Very nearly came away with two deck chairs, but Robin said no to carrying them! 😔
    Arrived in Bakewell only to discover from Strava that Robins daughter had done a park run near by… what are the chances!
    Beautiful villages and a pitstop at Chatsworth House with lots of river and woodland walking.

    Glasses on trail for those that loose theirs 😘Superb Sunday lunch at The Old Hall Hotel in Hope

    Day 3 The Rivers Way - Hathersage > Edal

    August 17 in England ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

    After pushing through yesterday we were rewarded with an early morning swim in the Lido at Hathersage & a lovely breakfast. Gorgeous riverside walking for most of the day passing through lots of villages. Only one wrong turn and one Vizsla. Managed to find Sunday lunch in Hope to fuel us for the few miles left back to the car. Loved this walk in the Peaks for its ease of camping, diverse terrain, including woodland, rivers, lovely houses & towns with good coffee.Read more
