ITALY - Girls trip 2024

After breakfast we were off! We are still getting used to me taking direction from my navigators, the girls, and well I took a wrong turn. Instead of my 3 hour journey...it took us about 4.5 hours since we started at the most bottom of what is considered Amalfi coast. The drive was beautiful the road was sketchy, some points are literally too small for 2 vehicles and the bikes and scooters just zipping by😬🤮.
The road was closed for some construction so had to wait, but that gave me a chance to recover from the near collision just before. So dude on a bike came zipping around a corner, well I didn't see him around the corner so I went to make a left...meanwhile he rounds the corner and hasn't slowed down...but I'm still in the middle of my turn with pedestrians to watch out for...he almost hits me and I can hear him going off...I try to pull over to the side and he follows me to yell at me. So I look at him cause he's probably scared of the near miss and venting but thinking dude you're the idiot that took the turn like Mario Andretti! So I look at him and say 'sorry no italian' and he keeps yelling then drives off.

We finally get to Positano, going down the stairs I was already anticipating/dreading the trip out!
It was beautiful as everyone says...but very touristy. Had a nice drink on the beach, had an early dinner / late lunch. The gnocchi was really good.
We made tentative plans to come back before we climbed out!Leggi altro
