Day 25 LEJOG

18 miles. 471.7miles. Denshaw. Very Misty start by farm where we stopped tomorrow. Downhill on lanes and dry paths and the mist cleared. Through Broadbottom and onto Huddersfield narrow canal. Past Bottoms ( love these names) and up onto the moor with views over Manchester and down to Stalybridge for tea and cake courtesy of Ollie. Onward along old railway track and canal. Paths getting busier ( bank holiday Monday). Quick lunch at Uppermill and in past Delph to Denshaw. A lovely day’s walking. Moors, canals, old railways, industrial heritage, goslings, mandarin ducks, rivers. Splendid.Leggi altro
